Did you realise that April is Stress Awareness Month?
We all know that running a marketing agency (or any small business) can be extremely stressful at times.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, 74% of UK adults have felt so stressed at some point over the last year they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.
There are two key areas in recognising stress. These are realising when we are stressed ourselves but more importantly when we see that others are stressed.
Cope with it
Once you realise that you and others are stressed, the important thing is how you deal with it. Consider how you relax, how you de-stress and how you deal with others. There are many techniques to reduce stress – find what works for you.
Prevention is better than cure. Having a positive mindset and outlook on life goes a huge way to prevent situations and people building up stress in ourselves. Easier said than done, I know. Other areas that have an impact in reducing stress are proper sleep patterns, exercise, our diet, staying hydrated and mindfulness practises.
